# Common Error Messages on the Consumer Service (CS) Portal

## Below is a list of common error messages that may appear across the Consumer Service (CS) Portal. Each entry includes a short explanation of what the message means and the action required to resolve it

| Error message | Meaning | What to do |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Could not load the postal services | Carrier list failed. | Retry. |
| Please add business units | Required business units are missing. | Add units. |
| Please add at least one Client‑FlowKey mapping | Mapping missing. | Add mapping. |
| Error updating/creating the portal | Portal failed to save. | Retry. |
| Error finding portals | Portal search failed. | Retry later. |
| Could not load client details | Client lookup failed. | Retry. |
| Please select a reason for return | Reason not selected. | Choose one. |
| Please describe the reason for the return | Missing explanation. | Add text. |
| Please input all item information | Missing item data. | Fill item details. |
| Article is required | Missing article. | Provide an article. |
| EAN is not valid | EAN incorrect. | Provide valid EAN. |
